Goodbye sweet girl
Thanksgiving night when we got home, we found our sweet Dora was no longer with us. Jade went to feed her and Duncan in their pen in the backyard and she was not responding to his calls and he found her laying in a hole that Duncan had dug earlier in the summer. Dora was our first baby. We got her right after we started dating. She was spoiled rotten and I know her little world was turned upside down when Sawyer got here, I know ours was too! We are not quite sure what happened to her, if she was sick or bitten. I just hope she's being taken care of in "doggy heaven." Miss you sweet girl!
6 month check up
Sawyer went for his 6 month check up November 23rd. He weighed a whopping 20.4 lb and is 28 inches long. He is getting to be such a big boy! He is above average in height and weight. A few things we talked about at this visit were his eating habits. We have started feeding him baby food 3 times a day and he is getting four 8 ounce bottles a day. He was sleeping pretty good, but these last few days have been rough. He is waking up multiple times a night, so I'm not sure what is going with him. Pray this doesn't last long, Mommy and Daddy need their sleep.
Sawyer is such a good baby! Once we get this sleeping thing figured out, everything will be just fine. It's just a phase (I hope). He is such a blessing to us. We couldn't have asked for a better baby. The doctor even said last week how "sociable" he was and how pleasant he is to be around. I am so thankful to God that he chose me to be his Mommy!

Sunday, November 13, 2011, we dedicated our sweet Sawyer back to the Lord. We are so blessed to serve such an awesome God. He blessed us with the most wonderful thing, our son. Bro. Terry Herron did the dedication service, where he asked Jade and me a series of questions and then sang him a beautiful song, Another Child to Hold. Bro. Terry and his wife, Ms. Diane, have been a huge part of my life and I'm so glad they get to be a part of Sawyer's, too. After the service, we went to my parents and had lunch. It was great getting my friends and family together for this special occasion. Sawyer is already loved by so many people. Thanks to everyone who made this day special for our family. We love you all!
