A visit from Auntie Deb and Uncle Ricky
Aunt Deb and Uncle Rick stopped by last weekend to see us on their way to see Miss Addison. So, we thought this was a great time to get a few pictures of Sawyer with them. He was such a good sport! Sawyer is so lucky to have them in his life and so am I. We love you Auntie Deb and Uncle Ricky!!Happy 2nd Anniversary to US!!
Last weekend, Jade and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary! Jade's mom aka Mammy came to our house and watched Sawyer while we went to dinner. Jade and I went to Maestro 2300 in Auburn and I must say that it was fabulous!! We both got steaks, filet mignon for me and ribeye for him, and they were both phenomenal. It was nice to get out, just the two of us. Here's to many many more, Jade! I love you so much!I AM ADDICTED.....

I just love pinning! There are so many great ideas on there. Here is a project I found tha I must do for my sweet niece Addison because she has a million bows already.
DIY Bow Holder
You will need:
* A frame. Any size, shape, color will do. Get creative! Just be sure the bottom is flat so that you can put hooks into it for the headbands to hang on. If you're on a budget, check your local thrift stores as they almost always have frames for a couple bucks each.
* Spray paint. Whatever color you'd like!
* Ribbon. I'd stick with non-silky ribbon, just because you don't want the clips to fray it or mess it up over time. I opted for a fun floral print to give it a little pizazz.
* Small hooks. I used 20 of them, but it's up to you how many headbands you'd like to be able to hang, and it depends on the size of your frame. You can get these at a hardware store. Sorry I don't have the original package, we had these leftover from hanging her birdhouses in her room!
* A flower or some other embellishment. I got this crocheted one at Michael's. Find something to accent part of the holder. Again with the pizazz.
* Holiday decor and background clutter is optional.
This project could cost under $10, really. It all depends what you have on hand. I bought ribbon for $1.99, a $2 picture frame, and a $2.99 flower.
---First, measure for the number of hooks that you are using and use a pencil to make marks evenly where the hooks will go. USE A RULER! It will look much better if they're all spaced perfectly even, I promise. :)
---Once your marks are made, you can either push and screw them in yourself, or, if you're a huge sissy like me and aren't strong enough, ask your husband to do it for you.
---After all of the hooks are in, spray paint that puppy. If you use an unfinished frame, like I did, be sure to do at least 2 coats. Get all the nooks and crannies of the hooks too!
---Give that at least a few hours to dry. This project seriously didn't take us much time at all because we spaced it out and just did something here and there. That's pretty much what we did with ALL the DIY projects in Jory's room.
---Once your frame is completely dry, measure and cut your ribbon. Be sure to leave at least 5 inches extra so that you can have enough to staple down, and cut the edges later. You can do only vertical ribbons, as I did, or you can do some horizontal ones too.
---Staple your ribbon with a staple gun just inside the frame. I put 2 staples on each end to hold it more taught, as it is fabric and can easily be wavy. It's very helpful to have an extra set of hands for this step!
---If you're including an embellishment, hot glue it on.
Voila! LOVE IT! It matches great with her room, and I absolutely love how it turned out!

I am happy to announce the birth of my niece, Addison Grace Siggers. She arrived Wednesday October 12, 2011 via c-section at 10:21 p.m. weighing 9 lbs 5 oz and 21.5 inches long. She is perfect in every way. Congrats Tanner and Jenn!

Old friends, new memories
Class of 2002 Colorguard
We released balloons in our of our classmates and friends, Lanier Baker and LaTessa Butler.
Ashley and meLast Friday was Homecoming at RHS and Class of 2002 was one of the classes that were honored. We met around 11:00 a.m. and registered and toured the new school and then lunch was provided for us. I got to see classmates and teachers I haven't seen in a long time. At 1:30, we headed down to the football field for the pep rally. The Senior class did skits from each class that was honored. It was hilarious, they did an awesome job.
That night, we met at 4:30 to practice with the band. I twirled a flag in high school so I figured since it had been 10 years since I had last twirled, I would give it a shot. At 5:00, we had a tea and got to visit a little more with everyone. The game started at 7 and I had a blast just getting to see everyone and their families. We twirled at half time and it was lots of fun. After half time, Jade and I left so we could go pick up Sawyer from Pop and Mimi's. It was a great day, but I was exhausted. Can't wait until out class reunion next summer!
Off to Church we go!
Just had to share this pictures. Sawyer was all dressed up to go to church last Sunday in his little onesie with a tie made by our friend Jennifer Pittman, who did an awesome job. Sawyer did great during church, he just sat there and listened the whole time. So proud of my little man!Sweet Peas, yum yum...
We tried sweet peas for Sawyer's second vegetable and he loved them. He would take a bite, then suck his index and middle finger. It was so stinkin cute! We are getting the hang of this baby food thing. Yay!
