37 Week Check Up

Getting bigger by the day :)

I went to the doctor yesterday morning. Sawyer's heart rate was good and he was very active. There was no change, I have not dilated or thinned at all. I guess Sawyer is not ready to meet us just yet. He will come out when he's good and ready. I'm just so anxious to meet him!

Happy Easter! Jade and I went to Lake Martin Baptist Church with my parents and then had lunch with them and my grandparents afterwards. It was such a beautiful day! I thank God he gave his Son for us to have everlasting life!

Well, it has been an eventful week for me. Last Thursday, I was on my way to run an errand for work in Calera when a woman pulled out in front of me and I T-Boned her. It happened so fast, all I remember when it happened was instant pain. Of course, I looked down at my tummy and prayed everything was ok. A witness came to my window to see if I was alright and saw that I was pregnant and I just asked him to please call 911. My phone had fallen in the floor and the battery came out so I was searching for it so I could call Jade. Luckily, another man came to the passenger side and found my battery in the floor. I called Jade over and over and all I got was a busy signal, very frustrating. I tried again and got through. All I said was, "I've been in a wreck, please come." I didn't know anything at this point other than the fact that I was alive. The paramedics got there and they strapped me to a board and put me on a stretcher then in the back of an ambulance. They took me to Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. The whole way there I prayed for Sawyer to move or do something, but he didn't. I guess he was scared just like Mommy.

When we got to ER, the nurses checked me out and they did a quick ultrasound to get a heartbeat. I was so relieved! I didn't have any major injuries. The airbag burned my nose and busted my lip and the seat belt burned my neck and bruised me. However, they wanted to keep me for 24 hours to monitor the baby's heart rate.

I got out of the hospital Friday around noon and headed home. Thanks to my Mama for staying with me in the hospital! I am feeling much better just still a little sore and bruised.

35 Week Check Up

I went back to the doctor yesterday. I have been battling some sinus problems for the past week and the doctor told me I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. So, they gave me a shot in the tush and some antibiotics. I am feeling 100 times better today.

Sawyer's heart rate was good and I got to see his little face. I can't wait to meet him!

I had my Group B strep test done yesterday. I guess I will find out the results to that next week when I go back. Until then...

Lots to do

This is what Sawyer's room looked like as of Saturday. You couldn't even walk into it. Yesterday, Jade and I got in there and sorted through everything. We have everything washed and put away. This week, we are going to put the car seat in the car, pack our bag and do some paperwork to get the ball rolling for Sawyer's arrival. I go back to the doctor tomorrow and then every week from here on out. Time is flying by, got lots to do!

On April 9th, I had a shower hosted by my family, Deb Mitchell, Jennifer Siggers, Tiffany Gardner, Stephanie Pope and Jennifer Siggers. Once again, I am amazed at how blessed we are. Jade and I are overwhelmed at the amount of gifts we have received for our precious little boy. I just can't wait till he gets here! Thanks again to everyone that had a part in all my showers or that came to them or gave us a gift. We really appreciate everything! Love you all!

More Baby Shower Fun...

I had another baby shower on Saturday April 2nd given by Janet & Andrea Snyder and Judiet Culp at Mt. Zion's fellowship hall. Thank yall very much for everything! Baby sawyer got lots of good stuff. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!

Happy 30th Birthday Jade!

Sorry, I am a few days late wishing my amazing husband a happy birthday. Jade turned 30 last Thursday, April 7th. Since, I was sick with sinus junk, we just went and grabbed a quick bite to eat at our favorite local Mexican restaurant. On Saturday, I planned a small get together at Niffer's at the Lake with our close friends and family to celebrate Jade's birthday. He had no idea and that made it even better. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you all for coming out to celebrate my sweet hubby's birthday!

By George, I think we have a NAME!!

Jade and I have been debating over names for months now. We had a girls name picked out, that was no problem, but a boys name was a different story altogether. I've never really had a name that I just loved and always wanted to name my little boy one day. So this was very hard for me. Jade likes the name Bryant. Let me say that I don't hate this name, but living in the state of Alabama only one thing comes to my mind when I hear it......Coach Bear Bryant from the University of Alabama. Now, if you know me, you know that I am a HUGE Auburn fan!! What can I say? My Daddy raised me right. The name I really like is Hudson and of course Jade doesn't like it. So, to keep it fair, we decided to not name the baby Bryant or Hudson. We have to start completely over. And we came up with..........
